Actuators for Underfloor Heating

Individual Heating Loop Control

In a Comfort Zone wet underfloor heating system designed by Evenheat, each underfloor heating loop is connected to a central distribution manifold. There are two valves for the loop, one on the flow and one on the return connection. The flow valve is manually set to adjust the balance with the other loops on the manifold (a one-off setting done to the specification in the design drawing). The return valve can be used to modulate the flow of water to the loop by fitting it with an actuator for control by a thermostat.

The actuators supplied by Evenheat with Comfort Zone underfloor heating systems are two wire actuator heads.

Simple Systems Controlled as One Zone

In simple systems where all the loops are to be controlled by a single thermostat, then actuators are not required. The pump and a single two port zone valve can be controlled by the thermostat in order to modulate the primary flow.

Wiring Centre

To make the connection between the thermostat(s) and the pump and actuators as straightforward as possible, the use of a Wiring Centre is recommended.
